When I was three, my parents took me to the circus. That very day, I decided that I would be a trapeze artist when I grew up (and that I wanted a pet elephant).

When I was five, my mom took me to see the Nutcracker, and my ambitions changed. I just KNEW I would be a ballerina when I grew up.

When I was eleven, my dad took me to my first rock concert, and it was settled. I was going to be the singer in a rock band.

When I was fourteen, my mom took me to see Phantom of the Opera, and I declared to the whole world that I was going to be an opera star.

When I was fifteen, at my first solo vocal recital, I realized that I had terminal stage fright and that perhaps the life of a performing artist wasn't for me.

Luckily my high school had a class called technical theatre, and I haven't looked back since. I have spent my entire adult life in the passionate pursuit of creating exceptional events. I have been fortunate enough to work on some of the most incredible shows in the world. Some have been big name, prestigious shows, but many of the ones that have meant the most to me have been small (I met my husband working with a youth ballet company).

My experience in event production runs the gamut. For the last ten years, I have focused mainly on lighting design, producing, and production management, with a sprinkling of production design, projection design, and stage management thrown in for good measure. I very much enjoy sharing my knowledge and expertise, as an educator at the university level.

My work can be seen in theatre, dance, live music, architectural environments and television. Credits include work with The Rascals (Broadway and North American Tour), The Empire State Building, Keith Urban, John Mayer, South Coast Repertory Theatre, Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Colorado Ballet, Ballet Repertory Theatre, Louis Vuitton, and CBS Television.

I received my BFA from the University of Colorado, Boulder in Theatre Design and Technology, and my MFA in Drama with an emphasis in Lighting Design from the University of California, Irvine.

I currently live in Long Beach, CA with my husband (Ponzer), and the world's cutest cat (Boo), and I am the producer for the design and artist collective Tactical Manoeuvre (www.tactman.com).
